I recently completed production on an 11-minute animation short.

Based on Colossians 3:9-10 (NIV, 2010), “Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”

It’s a coming-of-age story of a young ladybug.

Background: Each year, the 168-Hour Film Project assigns a Bible verse to each production team. Teams from around the world then get a week to write a story based on the Scriptural theme of the verse and to prep other pre-production tasks, and then, within a 168-hour production week, everything must be shot, edited, completed and submitted for judging. This is the result of my fourth year in participation with the project, and my first animation short film.

My last dramatic live-action film short tells the story of a bereaved young woman who learns one morning that she is not alone in her grief.

I produced, wrote and directed this short for the 168 Hour Film Project. The 168-Hour Film Project assigns a Bible verse to each production team. Each team then gets a week to write a story based on the Scriptural theme of the verse and to prep other pre-production tasks, and then, within a 168-hour production week, everything must be shot, edited, completed and submitted for judging.
